Is Fear Robbing You?

What would your life be like if you never encountered fear and fear was never an issue? How far could you go in life if you did not have any resistance?

There is a force called “fear” that puts your dreams, your destiny and even your life on hold. It is an enemy that means to hold you hostage. Fear will hold you back while faith can move you forward. Faith is what should be in our hearts, in our minds and in our lives. We are called by God to walk by faith and not by site. When you follow God, submit to His ways and walk by faith, you put your life in His hands. He will never let you down; however you will have to deal with the fear that will try to stop you.

I remember in 1988, I went on a trip to Florida with a friend who was a pilot. He owned a two engine plane and had flown in all types of weather and even though I knew that; a major challenge came for me when we encountered bad weather on the return trip to Alabama. Unexpectedly we entered into some unusual turbulence. Fear then gripped me and put its hold on me and all of a sudden it seemed as if the plane was going to crash and life would be over. When this occurred out of the pilot mouth these words were spoken “we will have a shaky ride home”; and through his experiences as a pilot he never was fearful even with the turbulence he was confident we would reach our destination. I learned to focus on the words he spoke and took hold of the confidence he had flying the plane. We made it home safely, no one was hurt and nothing was lost. This taught me that there will always be fear attempts but you do not have to submit to them.

The disciple’s encountered fear when they were told by the Lord, “lets us go over to the other side of the sea”. A storm came up and became a force that stood against them. It seemed like they were not going to make it to the other side because of the crushing waves that were beating against the boat. It caused them to react in fear which caused them to abandon the word of faith which the Lord had spoken to them; but the Lord rebuked the fear and life was restored. I strongly stand against fear because it stands against you to rob you of your purpose. I pray that fear will never take hold of you.

Take back your life by rebuking fear and speaking peace over your life. Don’t be afraid to break free of fear. God is our defender, our shield and a very present help in time of need. Hear the word of the Lord today and live in freedom.

A common statement most people make when it comes to healing for their physical body is always based around this saying, “If it is God’s will to heal then why are so many of God’s people still suffering from some kind of sickness or disability today .” When it comes to healing for our bodies we must believe and accept what the bible teaches concerning healing. This question was asked by a man who came to Jesus, who had leprosy (Mark 1:40) and said if Thou will You can make me clean. Jesus touched him and said unto him, I will and be thou clean. There was another time in the bible when a certain man (Matt. 17:14-15) brought his son to Jesus, who was vexed with a spirit of infirmity and said if You can do anything help us. Jesus said unto him,” If you can believe all things are possible unto you.” Healing by God has not ceased or stopped. God is still healing those who can believe for healing. The bible declares that we must have faith in God and to put our trust in what He says. What He said then to the leper and to the father whose son was vexed, He is still saying to you and me. God is not moved by our need, He is moved by our faith which comes by the Word of God. Remember Jesus healed all that came to Him and He also commanded His disciples to go and to heal the sick also. So the question is not if it is His will to heal or if divine healing is still for us today. The answer has always been and will always be asked of us, can you believe for your healing and in the God who heals.
